Tyla surprised guests at the star-studded Prelude to the Olympics party in Paris, taking the stage at Fondation Louis Vuitton to perform “Thata Ahh” and her Grammy-winning hit “Water.” While earlier in the day she was wearing a velvet set with cap-toe pumps, she switched into an athletic-inspired outfit with dramatic over-the-knee boots to perform on July 25.

The South African singer wore a black, green and yellow leather shirt dress with a geometric pattern closely resembling radiation warning signs. The oversized short sleeved shirt fell to her thighs and was emblazoned with ‘LVAIRWAYS’ in large block lettering, in a nod to Louis Vuitton.
Tyla matched her colorful top to a distinctive pair of black, white and yellow over-the-knee boots which featured a stiletto heel. The bold leather shoes were multi-textured with layers of straps, ribbons and laces overlapping to form a criss-crossing pattern up the shaft. Silver metal loops adorned the sides of the boots as well, adding yet another material to the complex landscape of the shoe. White and yellow laces dangled from the boot as well, contributing an element of dynamic movement to her performance. Covering a significant portion of her legs, the shoes were a focal point of the outfit and perfectly blended with the color scheme of her top.

Tyla is known to rock a tall textured boot — she wore a pair of patchwork camouflage boots with a distressed quality when she performed at Spotify Beach during the Cannes Lions Festival in June. She also wore dramatic buckled black boots on stage at the BET Awards in June, switching from a pair of leopard-print heels designed by Flor de Maria that she showed off on the red carpet.
