    Pilot and passenger in deadly Humboldt County plane crash identified

    (FOX40.COM) — A plane that originated from McClellan Airport on Tuesday and flew to Humboldt County crashed, killing its two occupants, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

    Pilot Gabriel Kulp, 49, of Grass Valley, and passenger Thomas Smith, 60, of Carmichael, crashed around 11:15 a.m. near Kneeland Airport.

    The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the FAA are still conducting their investigation into the cause of the crash.
