Christina Hall’s First Statement About Her Divorce Shows the One Narrative Josh Hall Isn’t Getting Away With

When the world hears the news of a celebrity divorce , the celebrity couple has two options: to address their split head-on in a public statement or to try and keep their personal issues as private as they can. For Christina Hall and Josh Hall, who split last week after two years of marriage, it seems they’re opting for the first option. On Instagram, the Flip or Flop star broke her silence about her divorce, and her statement is brutally unapologetic.

“Over here waiting for the typical hired PR speech of ‘how I was blindsided and how I’m working on myself and taking time to heal at her ranch,'” Christina wrote on her Instagram Stories of what she thinks Josh’s narrative to the press will be. “Meanwhile, I’m over here not as nice and quiet as I used to be.”

In the next slide, she hinted at what really went wrong between them. “I have worked my ass off to build this life for myself and my children and anyone who would try and take what they do not deserve / what they did NOT work for should be ashamed,” she wrote. As a reminder, Christina was about to star in the upcoming renovation series The Flip Off with Josh, who’s a former police officer-turned-realtor, and her ex Tarek El Moussa and his wife Heather Rae El Moussa .

But, from the looks of it, that won’t be happening anytime soon. “An insecure man with a large ego can sure try to derail you,” Christina brutally said of Josh. “But ‘still I rise.'”

Christina then added that the career and financial problems they were having weren’t spur-of-the-moment issues either. “Divorces do not happen overnight… & there is always a breaking point,” she wrote. “This one is personal.”

In another slide, she went to address an anonymous statement on Josh’s perspective recently published by TMZ . In the story, in addition to confirming that it was Christina who initiated their split, and saying that Josh is “blindsided and heartbroken,” a source claimed Christina “stopped speaking to him after a disagreement and would only speak to him through an attorney.”

In her stories, Christina vehemently denied that accusation. “Huh… I didn’t block him and I didn’t see any missed calls or texts the next day,” she said. “Which happened to be my birthday,” she added on her July 9 birthday. “Strange – No flowers, no card, no messages like ‘Hope you have a nice birthday.'”

“Something’s not adding up here,” she continued. “But I’m down to keep playing the ‘Christina Vs. The Victim’ as I love this game.”

So there you have it – while Christina was probably biting her tongue not to say anything before, she’s proving she’s not going to let Josh or his PR team spread alleged lies about her online. Kudos to her for standing up for herself and setting the record straight. Looks like the ball’s on Josh’s court now.
