    Tracie Brennan, Veteran Al Roker Entertainment Executive, Dies at 64

    Tracie Brennan, who spent about two decades as an executive with Al Roker’s production company, died Saturday in a hospital in Pompton Plains, New Jersey, after a battle with ALS, a publicist announced. She was 64.

    Brennan joined Al Roker Entertainment in 2005 as vp production & operations, then was upped to executive vp in 2013.

    During her stay there, she worked on such reality projects as The Show , The D.E.A. , Coast Guard Alaska , Life Aid: A Story of Hope , ChefShock , Side-By-Side for Northwell Health, The Graduates NYC and the upcoming Weather Hunters for PBS Kids.

    “I lost a dear friend and integral part of Al Roker Entertainment over the weekend,” Roker, the longtime Today show weatherman and co-host, wrote in a post on LinkedIn. “Tracie Brennan was with me for more than 20 years. She lost a tough fight with ALS.”

    In May, friends and colleagues participated in an ALS W alk to raise money for her care.

    Born on May 30, 1960, in Camden, New Jersey, Tracie Ann Brennan graduated from Rowan University in nearby Glassboro. She worked at Lifetime Television from 1995-2003, at The Lighting Design Group in 2004, at Fuse from 2004-05 and at Atlantic Video in 2005 before landing at Roker’s company.

    Survivors include her husband, Jimmy, and their children, Brennan and Sofia. Donations in her memory can be made to ALS United .
