I have sad news for all of us. Summer is almost over. As soon as I see those back-to-school displays of notebooks and crayons at my local big box retailer I always feel a pang of sadness that the lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer are coming to an end. But we still have time!

Let this tiny adorable kitten playing on the beach in a sun hat inspire you to make the most of the last days of summer we have left. He's just ridiculously adorable.

The precious video was uploaded by the TikTok account for @ Gatsbyfurbaby and the caption reads, "Gatsby loves the beach" and he sure does!

People can't get enough of this super cute kitten and his adorable sun bonnet and one person said, "I would actually start crying if I saw this in person." Me too! Another added, "This kitten in this little hat proves the world is a beautiful place." Someone else responded, "This gives me literal tears of joy." Another person replied, "This video instantly healed me."

See, it's not too late to get the most out of the rest of summer, and if you want to take your own kitty to the beach, here are some helpful tips to make sure your cat or kitten has the best time possible.

The most important thing to do is make sure your cat has a collar and an updated ID tag and is microchipped with your updated information on it in case the worst happens and they get lost.

Use a properly fitted harness and leash to keep your cat secure while exploring the beach. You should also have a cat carrier with in case they decide they don't like the beach.

You should also bring a portable pet tent, pet playpen or umbrella to provide shade and protect your cat from direct sunlight. Also make sure to bring their food and water bowl and plenty of fresh water for your cat.

Check with your veterinarian and see what pet-safe sunscreen they suggest and apply it to areas where your cat has less fur, like their ears and nose.

Try and visit the beach during cooler parts of the day, such as early morning or late afternoon, to avoid the peak heat to keep your cat safe from overheating.

Always stay close to your cat and keep your cat away from deep water and strong currents. Most cats are not strong swimmers and may panic in water.

Enjoy the rest of your summer!
