Garcelle Beauvais has an unexpected steamy affair with a young man 20 years her junior in the trailer for Lifetime’s Terry McMillan Presents: Tempted by Love trailer.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star plays the role of Ava, a famous chef rushing home from Europe to care for her elderly aunt after a fall. Picked up at the airport by Luke, played by Vaughn W. Hebron, a driver 20 years younger than Ava, the pair strike up an instant connection.

“Boy, how old are you?” Ava, sensing she’s getting in over her head, asks on an early date at one point in the trailer. “Young enough to back up what I do,” a flirting Luke replies.

But despite her feelings as she falls for Luke, Ava soon realizes he has much to experience in life and she must choose between her career and relationships.

Donna Biscoe, Lela Rochon and Emmy-winner Loretta Devine also star in Terry McMillan Presents: Tempted By Love, which emerges from the presenting banner of Terry McMillan, the author of the best-sellers Waiting to Exhale and How Stella Got Her Groove Back.

Beauvais and Lifetime are also reteaming after their collaboration on the TV movie Black Girl Missing. With screen credits that include Spider-Man: Homecoming and Coming to America , Beauvais starred in Black Girl Missing , playing a Black mother who turns to a dedicated community of amateur internet sleuths to find her missing daughter after authorities and the media dismiss her case and focus their search on a missing white girl.

Terry McMillan Presents: Tempted by Love is executive produced by Beauvais, McMillan, D’Angela Proctor, Richard Foster and Chet Fenster. Taliah Breon directed the Lifetime movie set to premiere on August 17 from a script written by Tamara T. Gregory.
