Did you feel it? 5.1 earthquake rattles West Texas

WEST TEXAS (KMID/KPEJ)- According to the USGS, a series of earthquakes have shaken West Texas over the past week, including one from Friday morning that is now reported to be one of the top ten strongest earthquakes in Texas history.
The earthquake was reported to have occurred around 9:28 a.m. on Friday, July 26 in Hermleigh Texas near Synder. The USGS (United States Geological Survey) previously reported a 4.9 magnitude earthquake, but recently updated it to a 5.1 magnitude.
The 5.1 magnitude now marks one of the strongest earthquakes reported in Texas history. Listed below from Earthquake Track in Texas, are the top strongest reported earthquakes that have occurred in the state- including the one from Friday morning.

Impact results from the USGS reported that the 5.1 earthquake had affected surrounding areas, including residents in the Midland and Odessa areas who felt the shakes. Numerous social media users also reported having felt the earthquake, including residents in DFW according to the USGS.

Twelve minutes later, at 9:40 a.m. on Friday, the USGS reported that about 16 miles from Synder, another earthquake occurred with a magnitude of 3.2. The USGS also previously reported that the Hermleigh area had experienced a 4.0 magnitude earthquake the day before, on Thursday, July 25.
According to Texas Earthquake Tracker, as of Friday, July 26- the Western Texas area has had a total of 97 earthquakes above 2.0 magnitudes in the past 7 days
While it is unclear at this time if any injuries or property damage occurred as a result of these recent earthquakes, the recent estimates from USGS reported a low likelihood of fatalities and damage.
