Smoky conditions leading to poor air quality in the Ozarks

If you’ve noticed a slight haze in the sky, your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you. The smoke is from the many wildfires burning well to our west.

Smoky conditions are likely to persist through Saturday in the Ozarks. Air quality has been downgraded across the area. Moderate conditions are expected, but if you’re traveling to Kansas City or Tulsa, the air quality is considered unhealthy for sensitive groups.

Multiple wildfires are burning across California, Washington, Oregon and California. Currently in the state of California, over 4,400 fires are burning. This spans over 467,000 acres.

Near Chico, California in the Park Fire, a massive firenado spun up. The rare weather phenomenon was caught on an Alert California tower camera.
