    How much do the Louis Vuitton trunk cases cost? All about the custom Olympic cases

    The luxury fashion brand Louis Vuitton had its own number in the 2024 Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony.

    The 2024 Olympics in Paris kicked off on July 26 and will run until April 11, bringing together athletes from around the world to compete in a variety of sports including swimming, field hockey, gymnastics, and more.

    During the Opening Ceremony, a man holding the torch ran into the Louis Vuitton workshop with people making measurements and cutting the iconic LV brown leather print. The camera then showcased the Louis Vuitton medal tray Trunk, which holds 468 medals ready to be presented to the Olympic winners.

    According to Galerie , the trays were crafted in the Beaulieu-sur-Layon workshop in the Maine-et-Loir region of France. The interior is lined with a matte-black leather in a nod to the trunks that will also house the torch and trays.

    Viewers at home were confused but excited to see the luxury brand in a dance number at the Opening Ceremony. One person on X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote: "That Louis Vuitton part was cute #Olympics #OpeningCeremony." Another person wrote: "Wow! Standing ovation to #France this has been the most inventive exciting opening ceremonies! Bravo #Paris2024 And ... All metals come in a @LouisVuitton case?!!! Yasss! #OpeningCeremony." A third person wrote: "What an ad for Louis Vuitton from the #OpeningCeremony." A fourth wrote: "I'm liking the Louis Vuitton tour thing. #Olympics #OpeningCeremony."

    How much do the Louis Vuitton trunk cases cost?

    The trunk had attracted many collectors, making 100 versions of the marque’s signature case. The trunks have been auctioned and one from 1854 was to bring 1.4 million euros to 2.1 million euros. It ended up selling for 2,367,792 euros, according to L'officiel .

    Pietro Beccaro, Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, said he was honored the bran was part of this special tournament. He said: "We are honored and extremely proud to be part of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024 with the mission of packing and presenting the defining symbols of Paris 2024: the victors’ medals and the torches of the Olympic flame."
