Rugby Superstar Ilona Maher Compares the Olympic Village to Love Island USA on TikTok

Every time the Olympics come around, we are reminded that Olympic athletes are some of the horniest people in the world. They give out thousands of free condoms to the participants because they know what they’re up to in those cardboard beds when they aren’t competing. For rugby star Ilona Maher , the Olympic Village is basically like a new season of Love Island USA .

The Team USA rugby player has been sharing a hilarious series of TikToks of her adventures around the Olympic Village as she and her teammates jokingly try to find love. And honestly, this is a show we would watch.

The Olympic Love Island Villa

Ilona kicked off her Love Island/Olympic mashup just like most singles do on the show. She gave a cheeky little introduction and then immediately started discussing her strategy.

“I cannot wait to get into the Olympic villa. It’s gonna be a crazy summer,” Ilona joked. “Honestly, I’m probably the fittest bird in there.”

Off camera, one of Ilona’s fellow Olympians tried to remind her that she was in Paris to compete for medals, not for love. Ilona wasn’t trying to have her bubble burst.

“I guess, if we wanna say that, but I still am gonna try to couple up early on,” Ilona continued. “It is early days, but I am there to find love.”

Bring on the bombshells

It didn’t take long for things to start heating up in the Olympic Love Island Villa. In a follow-up video, Ilona shared that her teammate, Naya Tapper, had some luck with another athlete.

“Hey guys, already [found] success in the villa! Naya got a number, well, she got an Instagram,” Ilona excitedly shared. “She just stared this dude down [and] he stared at her, then he came over here! The power she has. Feminine wiles over here she’s using.”

Naya said “eye contact” was the key, so yes, we’re taking notes. Ilona is too. The next day, she shared another TikTok where she unsuccessfully put Naya’s tips to use.

The Summer Olympics officially kick off on July 26, so Ilona’s focus might soon start to shift away from her Love Island parody. She has a medal to win. Until then, you can find her cruising around the villa trying to make eye contact and make a match.
