Tua Tagovailoa is the Miami Dolphins' man for the next four years.  The Dolphins' starting quarterback reached an agreement on a four-year, $212.4 million contract extension with the Dolphins on Friday afternoon.

For those who might still have a sliver of doubt until the pen meets paper, save the worry.  The star QB issued a statement of appreciation for the new deal on his Instagram account on Friday afternoon.

"What's up, guys?  Tua here.  Got some breaking news for you guys, although I never break any news.  This is the first time for me.  I just wanted to say that I agreed to a contract extension with the Miami Dolphins.  I just wanted to give a big shoutout to Mr. (Stephen) Ross.  I wanted to thank Chris Grier, Brandon Shore for working endlessly on this deal.  I want to thank Mike McDaniel for believing in me.  I want to thank all of my other coaches as well.  I also want to give a big shoutout to my teammates for believing in me, but also supporting me throughout this process, and I also want to thank the fans as well.  Fins up."

And there it is.  After appearing to be somewhat visibly frustrated back during OTAs that a deal wasn't done, the Dolphins' QB is all smiles and thanks now.

And while it took a while to get done, Grier managed to get his QB inked on the bottom line before the preseason got underway.  And Grier managed to get it done before the Packers and Jordan Love have reached an agreement on an extension, so he wasn't even the latest to the party as far as extending his star QB this year.

The excuses are gone now.  Tagovailoa is being paid like one of the very best in the league.  It's time for him and the rest of the Dolphins to deliver their beleaguered fans and community some very long overdue playoff success.
