    61-year-old arrested after West Spokane stabbing

    SPOKANE, Wash. — Police arrested a man suspected of committing a stabbing south of Browne's Addition, according to Spokane Police Department

    61-year-old Richard E. Koon was arrested by SPD on July 25.

    On July 25 at noon, SPD responded to a reported stabbing.

    When they arrived, the victim was en route to a local hospital. No suspect was present at the scene.

    According to SPD, they arrested the suspect after he returned to the scene of the incident.

    Koons was charged with first-degree assault and booked into the Spokane County Jail.

    The victim is recovering at a local hospital.
