    ‘Invincible,’ ‘Hazbin Hotel,’ ‘Sausage Party: Foodtopia’ Renewed at Amazon

    Prime Video is extending the runs of several of its animated series.

    The Amazon-owned streamer has ordered new seasons of Invincible, Hazbin Hotel and Sausage Party: Foodtopia . The pickups, announced at Comic-Con in San Diego, will bring a fourth season of Invincible , seasons three and four of Hazbin Hotel and season two Foodtopia to the platform.

    A date for Invincible’ s third season hasn’t been announced yet, but executive producer Robert Kirkman revealed at a Comic-Con panel Friday that the next installment will feature the infamous blue supersuit design featured in the Image Comics series by Kirkman, Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley. Invincible also scored its first Emmy nomination last week for Sterling K. Brown’s voice-over performance.

    Hazbin Hotel came to Prime Video with a two-season order , and the renewal will extend it for two more seasons. Sausage Party: Foodtopia , a spinoff of the 2016 feature film, premiered July 11 and will return for a second run.

    Invincible is produced by Skybound Animation and Amazon MGM Studios, with Kirkman, David Alpert, Catherine Winder, Simon Racioppa, Margaret M. Dean, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg executive producing. Helen Leigh and Walker executive producing. Hazbin Hotel is produced by Bento Box Entertainment and A24. Creator Vivienne Medrano executive produces and directs every episode; Joel Kuwahara and Dana Tafoya-Cameron also executive produce, and Scott Greenberg exec produced season one.

    Foodtopia is from Annapurna Television, Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios. Ariel Shaffir and Kyle Hunter, who co-wrote the 2016 movie, are the showrunners and executive produce with Rogen, Goldberg (the other writers of the film) James Weaver and Alex McAtee of Point Grey Pictures; director Conrad Vernon; and Annapurna Television’s Megan Ellison, Patrick Chu and Andrew Millstein.
