FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — A motorcyclist led State Police on a high-speed chase in Franklin County on a stolen bike, which resulted in them crashing the bike and getting away, according to the charges filed.

Online court records show Allen Keesey, 43, of Chester County, faces charges that include felony counts of receiving stolen property, theft by unlawful taking, flight to avoid apprehension/trial/punishment and fleeing or attempting to elude officer. He also faces a misdemeanor count of recklessly endangering another person and multiple summary counts for traffic violations.

The criminal complaint filed by State Police in Indiana says the high-speed chase began after Troopers spotted a blue 2004 Honda motorcycle with no registration plate before 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 1, 2023, on Rabbit Road in Antrim Township

The motorcyclist sped off after Troopers activated their emergency lights, hitting speeds around 120 MPH and turning onto multiple roads. According to the complaint, Troopers decided to stop pursuing the motorcyclist because of roadway conditions.

While they were searching for the motorcycle in a neighborhood, Troopers said someone waved them down to alert them that a blue motorcycle had crashed in the backyard. There was no rider, as they were able to get away from the crash scene before Troopers arrived, the charges show.

Upon seeing the motorcycle, State Police said it was the same motorcycle that led them on the chase and discovered it was reported stolen to the Greencastle Police Department in July 2023.

A K9 was used to try and track down the motorcyclist’s scent but it was lost after they searched over two miles. A backpack that had phone numbers associated with Keesey and a note that had his name on it was found while they were tracking him, the complaint states.

As of Friday, July 26, Keesey has not been arrested, and the charges were filed in June, court docs show.
