Watch: Fans gather in Paris: Pride, hospitality, and Olympic dreams

(NEXSTAR) — As the Games officially begin in Paris with the opening ceremony, WCMH’s Matt Barnes interviewed enthusiastic fans who gathered in France to soak in the Olympic festivites.

Among the interviewees was a couple who revealed their son is competing in road cycling on August 3rd. They commended the warm hospitality of Parisians, noting an impressive increase in friendliness.

Even after travel hiccups, another family told us they were thrilled to share the Olympic experience together.

Additionally, one fan humorously recounted her determination to join the Olympic festivities in Paris, emphasizing the necessity that her boyfriend qualify.
