Just like people, dogs enjoy having a purpose. Some work in herding and others protect livestock. Many offer humans support, while some work alongside police to help maintain community safety.

However, the pups we have at home sometimes take on different roles. Like this good boy, who is undoubtedly in charge of keeping everyone happy, and he’s also tried his paw at a few other tasks.

Watch how he helps with the household duties in this video shared on July 11:

It’s hard to argue with the fact that Albert (@ albert.olly.bernese ) is a hard-working boy. He’s an avid gardener, using his big fluffy paws to dig holes in the yard. Not to mention, he’s highly concerned about the family’s health. He plays the role of a dietitian, making sure no one is eating more hot dogs than they should, and he’s also performing quality control as the cheese taster. LOL! This handsome fellow is a trusted babysitter, watching over his tiny Bernese pup sibling. He even becomes the household decorator when he feels the Feng Shui is off. And he’s so dedicated to his family’s chores that he acts as an alarm clock. Ha! My dogs are also experts in that field, especially at 5:30 in the morning and at dinner time.

Tasks Dog Can Do Around the House

If you have a high-energy dog with lots of energy to burn, they may also benefit from having jobs to do at home . According to the American Kennel Club, teaching dogs to put away their toys and fetch items upon request can be helpful and tiring. They can also be trained to close doors, turn on or off light switches, help with groceries, and take out the trash. As dogs have an instinct to use their noses, they can also be taught to do scent work , which may help parents locate missing items.

People were impressed by this hardworking Bernese Mountain Dog’s work ethic. Viewer @olivelemon_bmd responded, “Such a good boy! You must be exhausted at the end of the day.” He has a lot of responsibilities that must tire him out. Viewer @border.toma remarked, “Looks like you are so talented and have been doing a great job of everything!” His many talents make him an MVP. Another person responded, “So helpful! I hope you get paid with great food and treats.” He, undoubtedly, deserves only the best.

Although many of our dogs excel at snoozing and looking pretty, these are still essential jobs nonetheless. Seeing them happy can always boost our mood and give us much to be grateful for.
