MERCER COUNTY, WV (WVNS) — The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office warned the community about scam calls, as well as the official ways to make payments for fines.

According to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, they will not ask for or process fines using debit cards, bank transfer, BitCoin, or over the phone because fine payments will be handled by the necessary court clerks.
