Animal and comedy lovers unite for this royal crossover- featuring Gabriel Iglesias and…a snake?
Iglesias is a guest on Season 2 of Reptile Royalty , a Roku Original series that premiered its season debut on July 19.
The show is hosted by social media sensation Jay Brewer and takes place at his reptile zoo, aptly named The Reptile Zoo, in Fountain Valley, California. Brewer runs his business with the help of a few sets of hands, including his three daughters: Juliette, Laura, and Andrea. The show gives viewers a look into some of the rarest and most exotic reptiles on the planet, along with some laughs as special guests come along, too.
In a clip shared with DECIDER, fun-loving Iglesias looks a little more distressed than fans are used to seeing him, but for good reason — the proud chihuahua papa has a snake curled around the better part of his upper body.
“I did not think I’d find myself in this situation,” Iglesias says in the clip, with the large snake wrapped around him. “I knew I was gonna come see stuff, and I knew maybe I might hold a gecko.”
“Well, this is a small snake though, you know that right?” asks Juliette Brewer, VP of Management at The Reptile Zoo.
“What do you mean this is a small snake?” says an exasperated Iglesias.
“This is just a warmup,” owner Jay Brewer replies.
“What do you mean, a warmup?” Iglesias says, becoming increasingly alarmed. In a slow-mode pan, viewers see Iglesias turn his head to watch Juliette drag a python-sized snake around the corner.
“That’s not a snake, that’s the thing that tried to kill Thor,” Iglesias says, only half joking as Jay asks, “You wanna hear the best part about this snake?”
“It’s already fed?” guesses a hopeful Iglesias. “It’s a vegan?”
“Her name is Fluffy,” Jay says, referencing Iglesias’ well-known nickname.
