The Django Unchained actor, Jamie Foxx , revealed in an exclusive interview with E! News' Daily Pop in 2021 that the pressure of marriage never suited him. He said: "The 2.5 children, the wood paneling on the station wagon, and the cottage, I didn't think that was for me." Furthermore, his kids apparently benefited from his firm decision. He continued: "Growing up, my daughter Corrine was like, 'Well, people are married, and that's what they have, my friends.' But then a lot of those marriages ended up not doing well as the kids got older. Unfortunately, we saw the kids get fractured from their families. Us, we actually came together more. So I don't know what that is, I just know that it is different but it's a whole lot of love."

Billionaire mogul, Oprah Winfrey is not new to the game. Speculations over her relationship status have been circulating throughout Hollywood for years. The buzz grew stronger after Stedman Graham came into the picture and people still question why it's never happened. In an exclusive interview with People she mentioned the thought crossed her mind at one point. "At one point in Chicago I had bought an additional apartment because I was thinking, ‘Well, if we get married, I’m going to need room for children." However, whether it was timing, the cons of other marriages, or her lifestyle, the thought of marriage slowly died. "I used to think about this all the time, that I was working these 17-hour days, and so were my producers, and then I go home and I have my two dogs and I have Stedman, who’s letting me be who I need to be in the world. He’s never demanding anything from me like, ‘Where’s my breakfast? Where’s my dinner?’ Never any of that, which I believed would have changed had we married."

But also, what does marriage really [mean]… that you own me now and I own you? I don’t get that part.” Though people get married for various reasons, she was transparent in agreeing to disagree on the matter. "I understand the religious aspect of marriage. That is beautiful and it’s fantastical and it’s dreamy and it’s every girl’s fantasy to have that moment. But I don’t know that I need that to feel like I’m in a partnership that’s working.”

She explained her reasoning on the internal and external turmoil of being so close to a person and what severing ties can cause. "It's like I have two options: Cut it — this has not worked — or be Elizabeth Taylor. I never want to be entwined with someone like that again ever. You break up, and you move on.
