BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) — A federal judge tosses out several parts of a lawsuit by a Native American man who was tased by the National Park Service at the Petroglyphs in December of 2020.

Darrell House claimed a park ranger used excessive force when he was tased while looking for a place to pray nearly four years ago.

The park ranger was ultimately cleared of wrongdoing, but House filed a lawsuit last December. The park service asked a judge to dismiss the case.

The judge ruled this month, dismissing multiple counts of the civil suit including the count related to the use of excessive force.

No trial date has been set for this case.
