BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) — The Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) said it will do more to prevent inmates from being released by mistake.

The announcement comes after the jail inadvertently released Desiree Sanchez , making her the third inmate accidentally released this month. MDC said an internal investigation is underway to determine what happened.
