CROCKERY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A 19-year-old man was hospitalized after a motorcycle crash Friday in Crockery Township, deputies say.

It happened around 7:55 p.m. on Leonard Street slightly east of 112th Avenue, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators say the man was heading west on Leonard Street in a motorcycle. They say as he was negotiating a curve, he lost control of his motorcycle and left the roadway, suffering serious injuries in the crash.

He was taken to the hospital to be treated, according to the sheriff’s office.

Westbound Leonard Street was shut down for about an hour for cleanup and investigation, deputies say. The crash remains under investigation.
