    Fatal Dumfries hit-and-run: Prince William County Police name suspect

    PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — Police in Prince William County said they were looking for a Manassas man in connection to a fatal hit-and-run in Dumfries last week.

    The Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD) said they are searching for 41-year-old Keith Anthony McBride, who is wanted for felony murder, felony hit and run and grand larceny auto for an incident that happened on July 20.

    Just before 7 p.m. on that Saturday, police responded to the Oasis at the Montclair Apartment complex, which is in the 16400 block of Stedham Cl.

    PWCPD said McBride went up to 37-year-old Jose Galvan, who was outside of his car in the parking lot. During the encounter, McBride got into Galvan’s car.

    He held onto his car while the suspect drove in reverse, hitting another parked car in the process, before driving forward, throwing Galvan off.

    Then, police said, McBride allegedly ran him over and drove off.

    Galvan was taken to the hospital where he died a few days later.

    On Monday morning, just before 10 a.m., police were responding to a separate situation in Woodbridge when they found Galvan’s car and got surveillance images of the suspect , now identified as McBride.
