Some of the best boxers in the world, past and present, competed at the Olympics at one point. Their journey started somewhere, and the Olympics elevated their skills to eventually become future world champions and Hall of Famers.

Who will step up and hold gold by the end of the 2024 Olympics in France?

Boxing has evolved in the Olympics since 1896, with women's boxing added in 2012. The way to win in the Olympics is simple: score points from every successful hit landed.

Men and women compete in three three-minute rounds, with the winner based on points, knockouts, or disqualifications, all while wearing headgear. A blow must land with the knuckle part of the glove on target areas with enough force to be considered an authentic punch.

Several Olympic athletes have gone on to have legendary careers. Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, George Foreman, Oleksandr Usyk, Katie Taylor, Claressa Shields, Gennadiy Golovkin, Lennox Lewis, Vasiliy Lomachenko, and Oscar De La Hoya are just a few.

Some of the top boxers qualified for the Olympics this year include:

    • Omari Jones (U.S.)
    • Roscoe Hill (U.S.)
    • Wyatt Sanford (CAN)
    • Tammara Thibeault (CAN)
    • Lewis Richardson (UK)
    • Patrick Brown (UK)
    • Callum Peters (AU)
    • Caitlin Parker (AU)
    • Amit Panghal (IND)
    • Nikhat Zareen (IND)

Here is how you can watch the Olympics from beginning to end, from live streams, price, times, schedule, and more.
