Savannah apartment continues to flood after rain, family says

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Multiple apartments at the Verde Vue Apartment complex are flooded with water, according to residents there.

There was standing water in the Conerly home after the heavy rain on Friday, July 26. But, they say this isn’t the first time this has happened, and it is causing them to be concerned.

Rebecca Conerly even says that her husband’s car and another family member’s car had to be towed this week from water flooding their vehicles in their apartment parking lot.

She says they pay $2,000 to live there, and they want maintenance to help them clean up this water. Mold is a major concern for them, with a four-month-old daughter and two animals.

They say this has cost them some of their valuables and their peace of mind.

“A neighbor over here has had that same problem. They ‘fixed it’, but it’s still leaking. And the maintenance guys also told us that this is the only apartment, and that they’ve been making the rounds. It’s everybody that’s around this area in the front, which is insane,” Conerly said.
