Fans have been left devastated by The Nelons' final Instagram post, shared just hours before four family members of the group tragically died in a plane crash.

Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, their daughter Amber, and son-in-law Nathan Kistler were en route to a concert with pilot Larry Haynie, his wife Melissa, and the family's assistant Melodi Hodges when their plane crashed over Wyoming, killing all seven on board .

The Nelons had posted about their trip to Alaska for the Gaither Homecoming Cruise, standing in front of their private plane. They expressed excitement about the journey, mentioning a stop in Nebraska and their next destination, Montana.

"There's our wonderful pilot right there, that's Larry," Jason can be heard saying in the video, panning over to Larry before turning to his wife. "And this is the co-pilot who handles everything."

As they discussed their meal plans, Jason admitted they were "all about the food". Tragically, he ended the video with a promise they couldn't fulfil: "We'll check in later."

Grieving fans flooded the comments section with condolences. One fan wrote: "Wow! No words... praying for their families and friends. I am sure this video will be one their families keep close to their hearts. May the Lord be near to all who knew them. PTL they are singing in Glory and we will all meet up again one day. #comequicklylord."

Another person commented: "So hard to watch this now," while a third expressed their deep condolences, saying: "So sorry for this devastating loss! Such a wonderful family! Loved meeting them and hearing their beautiful harmony and songs. Praying for comfort and strength and peace for Autumn and family and all of their Southern Gospel families! God be with them and give comfort and strength and peace in the days ahead! ".

Autumn Nelon Streetman, another member of the gospel group who was not on the ill-fated flight, made a public statement following the disaster: "As many of you have heard by now, my father and mother, Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, along with my sister, Amber, and brother-in-law, Nathan, as well as our dear friends Melodi Hodges, Larry, and Melissa Haynie, were involved in a tragic plane crash on Friday."

She also extended thanks for the support shown: "Thank you for the prayers that have been extended already to me, my husband, Jamie, and our soon-to-be-born baby boy, as well as Jason's parents, Dan and Linda Clark. We appreciate your continued prayers, love, and support as we navigate the coming days."

In a disturbing development, reports surfaced indicating that the aircraft burst into flames after crashing, igniting a wildfire as emergency personnel and firefighters converged on the scene.
