    NEWORLEANS, — Two Texas A&M University- Commerce female student athletes as well as both track and field teams were recognized for their accomplishments in the classroom during the 2023-24 season on Monday by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

    Veronika Kramarenko and Jenneil Jacobie were both named NCAA Division I All-Academic Athletes, while the men's team as well as the women's team were honored as all-academic teams.

    To be named an All-Academic Athlete, student- athletes must hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.25, complete at least two semesters at the nominating institution, and must finish the season being ranked in the top 48 in either the west or the east region during the outdoor season or top 96 in the country during the indoor season.

    Jacobie soared to a conference championship in the high jump at the SLC Outdoor Championships this season with a program record and meet record mark of 6-0.75 (1.85m), which ended the season being tied for 10th in the west region. She is a Biological Sciences major and was also named to the academic all-Southland Conference team.

    Kramarenko took home the bronze medal in the women's high jump at the SLC Championships, posting a mark of 5-8 (1.73m) and during the indoor season, she jumped 5-8.75 (1.75m) at the Arkansas Invitational on January 12, 2024, which is also tied for the best mark in program history and put her in a tie for 86th place to close out the indoor season. Kramarenko is a sport & recreation management major.

    Both the men's and the women's team hold a cumulative GPA over a 3.0 to earn all-academic team distinction by the USTFCCCA.
