    Serene Irish garden that visitors consider a hidden gem right beside famous landmark

    Ireland is full of beautiful hidden gems such as this stunning garden in Dublin . Nowadays, tourists aren't just looking for the most popular attractions and things to do in their chosen destinations.

    Thanks to the likes of TikTok and Instagram, the best-hidden gems for people to discover are being highlighted. In the Irish capital of Dublin, one of those hidden gems is the National Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin.

    While tourists might not be familiar with these lovely gardens, they might actually already find themselves in the area. The National Botanic Gardens is located right next to Glasnevin Cemetary .

    Tourists might already find themselves here to learn all about Irish history and the Irish fight for independence in the burial place of people like Michael Collins. If they are already there, they should definitely take the time to head next door to this lovely park with its unique array of plant life.

    Spread over 19.5 hectares, you will find stunning plants and trees here as well as unique art and a lovely river. On a sunny day, there are plenty of places to sit and take in all of the surrounding beauty.

    Visitors have had overwhelmingly positive things to say about this underrated attraction. One Tripadvisor reviewer described the gardens as "an oasis of calm and so well maintained".

    One person wrote: "They have native species of trees and flowers all over, set up beautifully. There are greenhouses that hold plants that I’ve never seen. Truly a beautiful place. Relaxing. If you like plants or walks through wonderful landscaping, this is your place. The grounds crew should be commended!!"

    Another said: "From vibrant flowers to peaceful pathways, it’s a nature lover's paradise. Highly recommend for a relaxing and beautiful escape!"

    A third commented: "Can honestly say this is the best gardens/botanical experience I've ever seen. The glasshouses are spectacular as well as the garden's layout. The fact that it's free adds to it. Would go again and again."

    A fourth wrote: "Not only can you wander around a stunning and tranquil parkland packed full with a wealth and breadth of different (and well labeled) tree varieties, you can spend time by the water (where we saw ducks, chicks, and a turtle) or meandering in the restored glasshouses, which are absolutely gorgeous. To top it off, all this natural beauty is free!"
