Hosting the 2024 Summer Olympic Games, Paris proved their love for the arts as the city produced a memorable opening ceremony that featured stars like Lady Gaga and even the icon Celine Dion. While Dion closed out the ceremony with a heartfelt performance that is sure to echo throughout time, many around the world showcased their love for their home country and even the Olympics in general. One of those people was none other than country music legend Dolly Parton. Excited to cheer on Team USA, the singer shared her music video for Queen’s “We Are The Champions.”

First stepping on stage during the 1950s, Dolly knows the importance of having the perfect performance. And showcasing her wide range over the years, she decided to support the Olympic athletes with a special music video featuring her iconic voice and more than one dazzling outfit. She captioned the post, “Feeling in the @Olympics spirit. Can’t wait to cheer everyone on, you are all champions!”

Gaining over 500,000 likes, fans loved the support shown from Dolly as comments included, “Dolly is such a gem whether you like real country music or not (I don’t but..)” Another person added, “Always the best, always relentlessly positive, and always in the moment. You are THE queen!” And one comment insisted, “From a simple girl who grew up in the mountains to a star who wrote thousands of songs and is still making songs to this day, she truly is one of a kind.”

Although a legend in country music, at one time – Dolly was nothing more than a singer trying to break into the business. While climbing the charts over the years, the singer revealed how she was constantly criticized for her wardrobe and look. With more than enough comments about her look, Dolly admitted, “My true belief with most things, you’ve got to really find out who you are, what makes you happy, what you’re comfortable in, and if you feel like you look your best, according to your rules, then you are going to do your best. I really believe that. And I think everybody has their own little things they love. To me, that is what fashion is.”

And for those who continue to criticize her look, Dolly concluded, “I’d say, ‘Go to hell.’”
