UFC President Dana White dismissed attacks on Vice President Kamala Harris’s race and gender as typical political “BS” during a CNN interview.

White joined CNN’s Laura Coates on Friday evening to discuss his support of former President Donald Trump , as well as introducing the Republican nominee earlier this month at the Republican National Convention.

Coates eventually turned to the temperature of the campaigns, citing Republicans who have described Harris as a “DEI” hire — referring to diversity, equality, and inclusion — including Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN).

“What do you think of this message that attacks the race and gender of an opponent?” Coates asked after noting that White “prides” himself on giving equal opportunity to men and women in his organization.

“I don’t judge people by their politics and who they vote for or any of that stuff. Listen, I don’t know Kamala. She seems like she’s a nice person. I have nothing against her whatsoever and, like I said, I’m not political, but do I think that she’s fit for the job? I do not, personally,” White said.

Coates pushed further, arguing Republicans have gone more personal. She referenced a resurfaced video of Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance criticizing Americans without kids and declaring Democrats are ruled by “childless cat ladies.”

“These are not things that are in line with enveloping perhaps women into the fold which I think you have always stood for, you say, in your sport. Why shouldn’t that be the same in politics?” Coates asked.

White argued such attacks go both ways and there will be plenty more of it leading up to November.

“Listen, politics are the most disgusting, nasty — it’s atrocious what is said. And the things that are being said on one side are being said on the other side too about Trump and his choice for vice president. It goes both ways,” he said.

“I don’t know that it’s going both ways. You have the childless cat ladies —” Coates began before White responded with shock.

    “Oh, come on!” he said.

“A DEI hire?! You think Kamala Harris is calling JD Vance a DEI hire, Dana? Come on,” Coates responded.

“But either way, she’s going to say other nasty stuff about both of them. It goes both ways,” White said. “And as voters, what we need to do is cut through all the BS and you have to look at who do you think is best fit to run the country for the next four years. That is our job as voters. All of this stuff is a bunch of nasty BS.”

White ended by targeting the media, accusing cable news networks like CNN and Fox News of feeding into the personal insults.

“You guys are really bad. Fox is bad. Everybody’s bad. Cut through the BS and vote for who you think is most fit to run the country,” he said.
