The commission will be spraying the chemical Etofenprox and will be applied from the ground by a truck using low volume (LV) or ultra-low volume (ULV) techniques. All chemicals used are approved by the New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station for the control of adult mosquitoes.

Although these chemicals are not harmful to humans, residents are still advised to avoid exposure. The county advises residents to limit their time outdoors while spraying is being conducted, do not leave animals outside at this time, and do not touch any surfaces that are still wet from the chemicals.
