Although I’m not a fan of yoga, I would gladly attend a class with puppies. In fact, I would pay extra to get lots of those tiny kisses and sweet snuggles. These cute encounters not only help dogs find their forever homes but also give them the socialization they need to succeed. All dogs, including Belgian Malinois, can benefit from these early exposures.

However, this active breed brings a different vibe to a usually low-key class. Don’t miss this video from July 6, which captures how these puppies quickly changed the energy in the room. It’s a must-see for all dog and yoga lovers!

If you’ve ever wondered about the energy level of Belgian Malinois, these puppies exemplify it well. At a recent puppy yoga class (@ muskokapuppyyoga ) in Huntsville, Ontario, it was evident these active pups are not for the faint of heart. Although they may have appeared like sweet angels while sleeping, they were building up their energy for the class. The studio describes, “From zen to zoomies and back to zen again, these pups brought so much energy to the room!” That they did! Forget about personal space. While some used their tiny fangs to chew on socks, others jumped on bellies, and some even stole personal belongings, as well as many hearts. Even when they were snuggling, they did it with unmatched intensity. I’m unsure how anyone could focus on exercise, but I commend their efforts.

    Are All Malinois Pups High-Energy?

Belgian Malinois are widely recognized for their exceptional energy levels. They are not only tireless but also highly intelligent, making them well-suited for tasks in the police and military. This breed does not grow out of their spirited personalities. As they age, they still require substantial daily activity, with most adults requiring 2 hours or more of play, exercise, and training. Providing them with the activity they need helps prevent destructive and undesirable behaviors .

These tiny terrors amused people. Viewer @pep_thecattledog responded, “Who the heck thought of Mal pups and yoga? It’s like that scene in Jurassic Park Lost World where the little dinosaurs storm that guy.” Ha! Good point. One person responded, “I just love that the people still try to continue with the actual yoga part of the class.” I know I couldn’t do it. Another person remarked, “I lived with 3 Maligators. Bite suits would be better suited than yoga mats.” LOL! That sounds more fitting.

If I ever win the lottery, I’d buy a farm and rescue a Malinois or two. Until then, I’ll stick to my moderate-energy pups, who only need average exercise and attention. It’s a full-time job caring for a dog with this much vitality!
