We're only five weeks away from the start of the 2024 NFL schedule and managers across the country are already beginning their 2024 Fantasy football draft prep. A new offseason version of HBO's "Hard Knocks" is giving us a glimpse into the Giants' offseason. Saquon Barkley left the Giants to join the division-rival Eagles during NFL free agency and his 2024 Fantasy football projections could be on the rise in a new offense. Where should you target Barkley in your 2024 Fantasy football draft strategy and should you have any level of concern that he might be one of the 2024 Fantasy football busts?
Last year, the model accurately predicted that Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle would fail to live up to his Fantasy football ADP. Waddle's 2023 Fantasy football ADP was 34.86 overall and he was the 11th receiver off the board on average. He'd go on to notch a 1,000-yard season but only had 72 receptions with four touchdowns and he'd finish as the No. 34 Fantasy football wide receiver in CBS Sports PPR leagues.
The same model has a proven track record providing Fantasy football tips, identifying A.J. Brown as a sleeper in 2020 and nailing Jonathan Taylor's monstrous season in 2021. Additionally, it's called past Fantasy football sleepers like Derrick Henry in 2019, Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara in 2018, and Davante Adams in 2017. Anybody who banked on players like those made a run at their league title.
The model is powered by the same people who generated projections for all three major Fantasy sites, and it beat human experts last season when there was a big difference in ranking. The 2024 Fantasy football PPR rankings and 2024 Fantasy football standard projections update multiple times daily, so you're always getting the best Fantasy football advice.
Now, SportsLine has simulated the entire NFL season 10,000 times and released its latest Fantasy football rankings 2024, along with plenty of sleepers, breakouts and busts. Head to SportsLine now to see them .
Top 2024 Fantasy football busts
One of the 2024 Fantasy football busts the model is predicting: Panthers running back Jonathon Brooks. The Texas running back was the first running back off the board at the 2024 NFL Draft and has been the 25th running back drafted according to 2024 Fantasy football ADP.
However, the model ranks him outside its top 35 running backs. Brooks will join an offense that ranked 31st in the NFL in scoring and 32nd in total yards. He spent two seasons as Bijan Robinson's backup at Texas before rushing for 1,139 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2023 and the model is expecting a difficult adjustment to the NFL in his rookie season.
Another bust that SportsLine's Fantasy football rankings 2024 have identified: Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen . The 32-year-old has put together a career resume that will be worthy of Hall of Fame consideration when he ultimately hangs up his cleats, but SportsLine's model is calling for a dip in production in 2024. Allen was traded to the Bears this offseason after spending the first 11 seasons of his career with the Chargers after entering the league as a second round pick out of Cal.
