NFL film expert predicts record-chasing season for Jets RB Breece Hall

Apparently, New York Jets running back Breece Hall didn't go far enough in his rushing yards guarantee for 2024.

Speaking at the podium in Florham Park earlier this week, Hall promised to become a 1,000-yard rusher this season.

"For sure have 1,000 plus yards this year, so that ain't even anything that's in the back of my mind," said Hall, who finished with 994 rush yards in 2023.

NFL Network analyst, and former professional offensive lineman, Brian Baldinger provided a much more ambitious projection while visiting Jets training camp on Saturday.

"I think 1500 is not out of the question here. He could be chasing that [Jets franchise record] this season," said Baldinger on Jets Training Camp Live .

    Hall-of-Fame running back Curtis Martin owns the top-three rushing totals in Jets' single-season history — 1,697 (2004), 1,513 (2001), 1,464 (1999).

Known for his informative Baldy's Breakdown segments, Baldinger is basing his prediction of Hall's 2023 production under challenging circumstances.

"He has a chance to be the best, behind this offensive line, the commitment to the run game, Aaron Rodgers under center. Last year, he was on a pitch count and he was just working his way back, but as the season went on you saw him get stronger and stronger. I expect huge things out of Breece," said Baldinger.

Hall was second amongst all NFL running backs with 1,585 scrimmage yards last year. His 76 receptions led all players at his position. The 2022 second-round draft pick, who averages 4.8 yards per carry, possesses top-level breakaway speed .
