Recently, Missy Hyatt surprised wrestling fans by disclosing on Cafe de René that she previously dated WWE Hall of Famer and current AEW commentator Jim Ross. This was two years after his wife Jan tragically passed away, and their relationship lasted for a couple of years. And now, in a follow-up appearance on the podcast , she has revealed that they weren’t together longer because they wanted different things, as Hyatt was looking to re-marry.

“When he moved to Jacksonville and bought a condo on the beach, I was with him and helped him pick it out and stuff. And I was telling him, ‘Well, we gotta get rid of the popcorn ceiling. We gotta do this and gotta do that.’ You know, I thought I was gonna get the redo it. Well, he got the lady that did the stadium for the Jaguars or whatever to do it and paid her like 350/hour to, you know, be the designer, and that hurt my feelings. And he didn’t really want what I wanted because I wanna get married again. I don’t know why, but I do. I’m still young.”

60-year-old Hyatt first broke into the business in 1985 when WCCW hired the blonde bombshell to be the valet of her then-boyfriend John Tatum. From there, her career took her to various promotions, including a brief stint with WWE. However, her time in WCW between 1988 and 1994 established her name in longtime fans’ memories as she served as a commentator, host, and manager for notable wrestlers like the Steiner Brothers, PN News, The Barbarian, and the Nasty Boys.
