Tony Khan believes rebranding Ring of Honor as AEW ROH wouldn’t be a bad thing.

All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan has made it abundantly clear that further synergy between the company and Ring of Honor could be on the horizon as talks with Warner Bros Discovery over their new media rights deal continue to heat up.

Last night during the ROH: Death Before Dishonor Media Scrum , Khan was asked about the possibility of ROH airing on a WBD network in the future, Khan teased the idea that there might be a lot more value in the brand if it was renamed AEW ROH.

“There are a lot of great channels in the Warner Bros Discovery family,” Tony Khan said. “We’re having great conversations with them now. I think it’s not crazy at all to think that Ring of Honor could be televised in the Warner Bros Discovery family.

“Would Ring of Honor frankly have a lot more value as AEW Ring of Honor? Yeah, it probably would. I think I’ve come to that realization as far as the presentation. That might mean frankly a more cohesive absorption of the promotion into the fabric of what we’re already doing, but not in a way that would affect things.”

Tony Khan believes ROH would benefit from more association with AEW

Khan also discussed the idea of furthering the synergy between the brands and he believes it wouldn’t be bad or sacrilegious to rebrand Ring of Honor under the AEW banner.

“It’s really interesting what the promotion has grown into but I’m really proud of it,” Tony Khan said. “I think ROH holds an important place. But I also recognize that AEW is at the very top of pro wrestling. I think that the ROH brand could frankly benefit from even more association. And I don’t think it’s out of the question to say and I don’t think it’s sacrilegious to say I think it would only help grow the ROH brand if I were to license it, sublicense if it were AEW ROH.

“I don’t think that’s a crazy thing and I don’t think that would be sacrilegious or bad. I think it would actually be good for everybody. Because then I think people would see more of the connectivity that exists between promotions and what we’re going for.”
