‘Look Closely at His Ear’: Former Obama WH Photog Appears to Delete X Account After Implying Trump Wasn’t Shot

Pete Souza , the chief White House photographer for former President Barack Obama , seemingly deleted his X (formerly Twitter) account on Saturday after he implied that former President Donald Trump was not shot two weeks ago during a rally in Pennsylvania.

The legendary photographer appeared to endorse a conspiracy theory that Trump was not wounded in the ear when the FBI said he was grazed in the community of Butler on July 13 by a bullet fired by 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks .

The shooting wounded Trump and two of his supporters and left another one – 50-year-old Corey Comperatore – dead .

While the FBI stated in no uncertain terms on Friday evening that a bullet had indeed struck Trump, Souza took to his X account to cast doubt on the official story.

Souza shared an Associated Press image of Trump boarding an airplane with no visible scarring, redness, or bandage on the affected ear. The image was taken Saturday morning as Trump prepared to speak to crowds in both Tennessee and Minnesota.

He commented, “AP photo this morning. Look closely at his ear that was ‘hit’ by a bullet from a AR-15 assault rifle.”

Mediaite viewed the post from Souza before the photographer’s account was taken down. Attempts to visit Souza’s profile are met with a message that reads, “This Post is from an account that no longer exists.”

Souza published a book of iconic photos he took of Obama during his two terms in the White House in which the former president contributed a foreword. A description for Obama: An Intimate Portrait on Amazon reads :
