The 2024 Paris Summer Olympics are underway, and there are a lot of spectacular athletes that people should be keeping their eyes on. One of those athletes is American swimmer Katie Ledecky. At the age of 27, Ledecky has already established herself as one of the best female swimmers of all time. That is due to the fact that she has some of the fastest swimming times in freestyle events and holds the most medals from the World Aquatics Championships with 16 gold medals. Furthermore, her skills have been growing over the years, along with her notoriety. The latter is what earned her the Presidential Medal of Freedom this year. At this year’s Olympics, Ledecky will be competing in many events that a lot of people are going to want to watch. Here is everything you need to know about Ledecky’s Olympic events, including when and where you can watch them.

Ledecky is entering the Paris 2024 Olympics with ten medals already under her belt (or around her neck). Seven of those medals are gold and three of them are silver. She won one gold in 2012, four gold and one silver in 2016, and two gold and two silver in 2020. Of the gold medals, three are in the 800 meter freestyle, one is in 200 meter, one is 400 meter, one is in 1500 meter, and one is 4×200 relay. In addition, her silver medals are 4×100, 4×200, and 400 freestyle. Because of all of these victories, Ledecky has the most medals in women’s swimming. If she wins three more gold medals at this year’s Olympics, she will have more gold medals than any other female olympian, beating out gymnast Larisa Latynina. That possibility really raises the stakes for this year’s competition.
