    Big Horn Fire at 38% containment, parts of Highway 14 remain closed in Klickitat County

    KLICKITAT CO., Wash. - The Big Horn Fire in Klickitat County is now 38% contained and continues to burn about seven miles southeast of Bickleton. The fire was first reported on July 22 and what started the blaze is currently under investigation. The fire as of Saturday, July 27, has burned 49,585 acres.

    The following area is under a LEVEL 2 GET SET evacuation order:

    • East Road to Sand Ridge Road to the east and Alder Creek south to the Columbia River
    • North of Alder Creek, west to Crider Valley, east to Peterson
    • Areas between Middle Road and East Road
    • West of Middle Road to Klickitat County Line to the east, Columbia River to the south

    The following area is under a LEVEL 1 GET READY evacuation order:

    • Sand Ridge Road to the Klickitat County Line
    • East Road to the west, Coleman Road to the north
    • Big Horn to Middle Road
    • Roosevelt Grade east to Alderdale Road, North Six Prong to Six Prong Extention, Peterson to the Columbia River to the south
    • The Cities of Roosevelt and West Roosevelt, Bickleton, Cleveland

    The following are road closures or area closures :

    • East Road is closed from the Town of Bickleton south to Middle Road
    • Highwy 14 from the Town of Roosevelt to Alderdale Road
    • Alderdale Road from Linda Lane south to the intersection with SR 14
    • The westbound shoulder of Highway 14 will be closed with firefighters working in the area.

    The American Red Cross has closed its shelter in Benton County. More than 200 fire personnel are fighting the Big Horn Fire.

    Lone Rock Fire up to 77% containment

    LONE ROCK, Ore. -- Updated at 6:00 p.m.: The Lone Rock Fire is now 137,214 acres and 77% contained.

    Battle Mountain Complex over 160,000 acres with under 10% containment

    UKIAH, Ore. -- Updated at 6:00 p.m.: The Battle Mountain Complex is now 162,389 acres and 7% contained.
