    NWS: Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued in northwest Utah

    BOX ELDER COUNTY, Utah ( ABC4 ) — The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning in Box Elder County.

    The warning is valid until 4:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 27.

    Winds up to 60 mph are expected. Hail the size of a half-dollar is also possible, NWS said.

    “Hail damage to vehicles is possible, as well as roofs, siding, and trees,” NWS posted. “This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of west central Box Elder County. This includes Utah Route 30 between mile markers 8 and 43.”
