Tom Aspinall showed just how dangerous he can be at UFC 304 .

In a minute-flat, Aspinall defended his interim heavyweight championship and secured the biggest fight of his career vs. Curtis Blaydes.

Oh, and avenged a tough loss due to injury in the process.

Aspinall, competing in his home country of England, stopped Blaydes in 60 seconds. With the win, he will challenge either reigning champion Jon Jones or Stipe Miocic to unify the titles likely in 2025.

“I’m the best finisher in the UFC,” Aspinall said. “Who wants to see Tom Aspinall vs. Jon Jones? Hello Jon. I have nothing against you personally, I just know I can beat you in a fight so I’m coming for you.”

Back in 2022 in London, Aspinall suffered a knee injury vs. Blaydes and lost via TKO. He spent a year on the sidelines and has not been bested since, reeling off three consecutive first round finishes.

“We needed to put that one to bed,” Aspinall said. “It was a freak accident. Now I got my revenge.”

Jones is expected to defend his title against Miocic, a former champion, later this year. The two were on track to fight late in 2023 before an injury suffered by Jones.

When that happened, UFC officials created an interim title, which Aspinall won vs. Sergei Pavlovich.
