Insiders claim that Prince Harry is set to make a major move regarding improving royal family relations, but based on the lack of communication over the last four years, it’s hard to believe.

Prince Harry has not had a strong relationship with many family members in years. The prince and his wife, Meghan Markle, have been estranged from most royal relatives since the couple stepped back from their senior royal roles in 2020. Although Harry has managed to improve his relationship slightly with his father, King Charles, things are far from perfect.

Now, there are rumors swirling that Harry is gearing up to make his biggest attempt yet at smoothing things over with his family. But honestly, we’re not too convinced that it will come to fruition.

There are rumors that Prince Harry could take an extended trip to the United Kingdom

Harry and Meghan have only returned to the UK together a handful of times since they moved, but Harry has made many quick trips for royal events, court cases, etc. Still, the amount of time he has spent over there has not quite been enough for him to genuinely repair relationships; there are rumors that he and Prince William don’t even speak. But now, the rumor mill is churning with a new potential story: Harry is considering taking an extended trip — up to one month — to the UK by himself this fall in an attempt to reconnect with his family.

According to Express, a source told Closer Magazine that Harry wants to get a deeper connection with his relatives across the pond. “Harry is going to have to return to the UK solo as it makes sense for him to take a longer trip. He’s convinced that if he spends a longer period of time there, he’ll have a better chance to reconnect with his family,” the source said.

The insider also added that Meghan is supportive of whatever decision Harry makes but does not want to return to the UK with him; she would stay home with the couple’s children.

It seems unlikely that Prince Harry would spend one month away from his family

Harry has a very close relationship with his wife and kids, and it’s hard to imagine that he would sacrifice even one month with them in order to attempt to repair a relationship with a family that seemingly doesn’t want much to do with him. Unless there was genuine interest on both side to fix things (which there might be with Charles but likely not with Prince William), then it seems like an odd move.

Harry might ultimately want peace with his family, but at the expense of leaving his own family behind seems unlikely. Perhaps if Harry won his court appeal and was granted greater security in the UK and could bring his family with him, the prospect of an extended stay might be more feasible. For now, though, we’re calling this rumor false.
