    Pfizer will shut down operations at two of its manufacturing facilities in North Carolina, resulting in over 200 job losses. The affected sites are:

    1. Rocky Mount Facility:
      • Location: 4285 North Wesleyan Boulevard
      • Number of Job Losses: 60
      • Recent History: This plant had recently reopened after sustaining tornado damage in July 2023.
    2. Sanford Facility:
      • Location: 4300 Oak Park Road
      • Number of Job Losses: 150

    The closures are scheduled to take effect on July 31, 2024. The notices were issued to comply with the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act, which mandates employers to provide advance notice of significant layoffs or plant closures.
