The Scituate Animal Shelter of Massachusetts has revealed that a unique cat named Inky is still looking for his forever home after almost four months of waiting. "We know he's a tougher placement, but we're also confident his family is out there," explains the local animal shelter.

Inky's story is one of resilience and hope, and the shelter is seeking a cat-savvy owner who can provide the understanding and care he needs. “Inky is a cat looking for a cat savvy owner to take a chance on this once street cat," the shelter explains. Inky, estimated to be about 2 years old, was found as a stray with old wounds that told the story of his tough life on the streets. While he didn't interact with them, Inky was showing aggression with humans. We suspect this had to do with other cats being in 'his space'." the shelter shared. Inky is described as super friendly and affectionate, often wanting to sit on a human's lap and "making biscuits" with his paws. However, he can become overstimulated with too much petting, so he needs a human who can understand when he's had enough. "We need someone who understands cats body language," the shelter emphasized.

Despite these challenges, Inky is a playful cat who loves to run and play with toys. The shelter is confident that with the right owner, Inky can have a good life. "While this is a tougher placement, we feel we can help an adopter succeed and give Inky a good life,” they said.
