Not even an injury could stop Simone Biles from pulling off her signature move, especially in the Olympics.

On Sunday, Biles gave fans a major scare after she complained about a potential left ankle injury after her first routine on the balance beam. She had to exit the floor and get her ankle taped up before returning, though there were concerns about her condition.

Biles quickly erased all doubts that she wouldn't be able to perform at a high level due to the injury when she executed the Yurchenko double pike vault. Her landing wasn't as flawless as the one she had in practice, but the vault was all that mattered and she was excellent at it.

The Yurchenko double pike is considered one of the hardest, if not the most difficult gymnastics moves in the women's category, and so for Biles to pull it off with an injury was nothing short of amazing. The 27-year-old got a 15.800 score for it.

"Simone Biles powering through a lower-leg injury and hitting the Yurchenko double pike is plain GRIT," a fan commented.

Another one said, "Simone Biles nailed the Yurchenko double pike with 15.800 score. Insanity."

"With her ankle taped, Simone Biles did the Yurchenko double pike beautifully, like it was nothing. Constantly in awe of this woman," an impressed social media user shared.

A stunned supporter noted, "My goodness.. Simone Biles with a near perfect Yurchenko double pike vault with a bad ankle. That is not a human being."

"Simone Biles is limping and still executes a Yurchenko double pike vault for a score of 15.8 — unreal," a fifth fan added.

"Simone Biles really just nailed the Yurchenko double pike with a 15.800 Don’t ever doubt her," a commenter furthered.

It was indeed a crazy performance from Simone Biles, and after that display of tenacity, no one could ever question her desire to win.

Biles is built differently, and she only further solidified her status as one of, if not the greatest gymnasts of all time.

Here's hoping, however, that her injury won't bother her in the Olympics moving forward.
