Even a little soreness in her leg couldn't stop Simone Biles from dominating on her first day at the Paris Olympics.

The 27-year-old fought through some calf soreness that forced her to have her leg taped, turning in the top score on the floor routine, pulling off a Yurchenko double pike on the vault and earning a spot in the all-around final.

After her performance in the July 28 qualifying, Team USA took to social media to deliver a strong message to Biles praising her dominance.

The [greatest of all time] got the job done," read the post on X .

Though the injury drew some concern for Biles, her longtime coach put to rest any fears that the gold medalist would be limited for the rest of the week.

"Simone Biles’s injury is a minor calf issue from a couple of weeks ago that flared up during floor warmups, according to her coach, Cecile Landi. There was no discussion of her withdrawing from the competition," noted reporter Emily Giambalvo on X .

Biles already made history at the Paris Olympics when she and teammate Suni Lee advanced to the all-around final, making it the first time that two former champions will compete against each other for the gold.
