    Black Restaurant Week to highlight local Madison businesses

    MADISON, Wis. -- The Madison Black Chamber of Commerce announced Friday the upcoming arrival of Madison Black Restaurant Week, which will celebrate local Black businesses and highlight the African diaspora.

    The MBCC said the flavorful event will allow residents to indulge in a delectable array of dishes that highlight the richness and creativity of Black culture. From Aug. 11-18, participating Black-owned restaurants across Madison will offer exciting discounts, special menus, and unique dining experiences to showcase their culinary talents.

    From soul food to exquisite African-inspired delicacies, the MBCC said the event will ignite community pride and celebrate the vital contributions of Black entrepreneurs, chefs, and restaurateurs to Madison's vibrant local culinary scene.

    To end the week, the MBCC will invite food enthusiasts and culture seekers to attend the Madison Black Restaurant Week Food Taste Jamboree on Aug. 18, at Olin Park. At the Jamboree, attendees will have the chance to sample a diverse array of cuisines, talk to  local chefs, and learn about the stories and traditions behind the incredible dishes on display.
