Pat McAfee Has Eight-Word Reaction to Kevin Durant's Historic Olympic Performance

Kevin Durant was on another planet during the first half of Team USA's Olympic opener against Serbia on Sunday, knocking down all eight of his first-half shots and going a perfect 5-for-5 from beyond the arc.

Durant led Team USA with 21 points, helping them to a 58-49 lead at the break over Nikola Jokic's led Serbia team.

Social media back in the States was ablaze after Durant's performance, and it was all capped off with a fall-away buzzer-beater at the end of the second quarter that left even his Team USA teammates in disbelief.

Some are calling it one of the greatest shooting performances in Olympic history.

One notable reaction to Durant's performance came from ESPN star Pat McAfee, who had a perfect eight-word message for the Phoenix Suns' star.

"Kevin Durant...we as a country THANK YOU," McAfee wrote on X.

We will see if Durant can keep it up in the second half and lead Team USA to a first-round victory over Serbia. It certainly will be a fun couple of quarters to watch.
