Kevin Durant had a performance for the ages in the first half of Team USA's 2024 Olympic opener Sunday against Serbia. The three-time gold medalist flashed a familiar celebration that fans probably recognized.

Durant single-handedly kept Team USA ahead over the first two quarters at Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Lille. The Phoenix Suns forward didn't miss a single shot. He tallied 21 points on 8-of-8 shooting from the field, including five three-point field goals.

The two-time NBA champion took a bump in the final minute of the first quarter. The Slim Reaper shook off contact and then mimicked LeBron James' signature shoulder shrugs once he was back on his feet.

When you're as hot as Durant was in the first half agains Serbia, every celebration on Earth becomes fair game.

Serbia led by as many as eight points in the first quarter and probably would have maintained an edge at halftime had Durant not gone en fuego. Durant's special performance helped Team USA take a 58-49 lead at the break.

Reigning NBA MVP Nikola Jokic had 12 points and four assists and was efficient as always. James was equally impressive with 12 points and five assists of his own.

But the first two quarters of Team USA's Olympic opener belonged to KD. Perhaps the scoring binge was Durant's way of erasing any concerns over his lingering calf injury.
