Ree Drummond’s Daughter Alex Reveals the Pregnancy Craving That ‘Brings So Much Joy to My Day’

Ree Drummond’s oldest daughter is starting to get some major pregnancy cravings now that she is in her second trimester.

In June, Alex Drummond Scott revealed she and her husband, Mauricio , were expecting their first child . Shortly after going public with their news, Alex and Mauricio posted an adorable gender reveal video that showed the moment they learned their baby’s sex.

The happy couple later explained on Ree’s blog that they spilled the baby news to The Pioneer Woman host shortly before Mother’s Day.

Over the last few weeks, the 27-year-old mother-to-be has been open with fans about her pregnancy journey in videos posted via her Instagram Story. In early July, she was honest about the relief she felt when the weeks-long nausea she endured during her first trimester finally abated.

In another update earlier this week, Alex told her Instagram followers about some food- and drink-related pregnancy cravings—including one that she said “brings so much joy to my day.”

As seen in the video that Ree, 55, reposted on her blog on Saturday, July 27, Alex explained her yearning for Dr Pepper , breakfast sandwiches from Starbucks and boxed dumplings from Trader Joe’s , among other things. But her top craving is a simple glass of iced lemonade, which she treats herself to in the afternoons.

The beverage is “my version of happy hour these days,” Alex said as she prepared to pour some lemonade into a tall glass filled with ice. “Every afternoon around 4 or 5 p.m., my little pick-me-up is a glass of lemonade over ice.”

Though she recognized that the summery treat might seem “so simple,” it is one she has grown very fond of. "Sometimes, Mauricio will have a beer with dinner, and I've honestly grown so content with my lemonade,” she said.
